Artiste
Nigerian-born, Toronto-based artist Ṣẹwà is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer whose music blends Afrobeat, Fuji, Jazz, R&B, Soul/Blues, and Pop into a vivid, genre-defying sound. A fan once described her music as “the after-scent of rain,” capturing the emotional depth and refreshing spirit that define her artistry.
Ṣẹwà sold out her debut concert in Lagos in 2021 before relocating to Toronto, where she quickly built a reputation as a magnetic live performer. She has since headlined multiple sold-out shows, including A Night with Ṣẹwà, her 2024 Burdock concert, and her 2025 Lula Lounge show. She has shared stages with Nigerian superstars Johnny Drille, Simi, Burna Boy, and Aṣa, and performed at Afrofest Canada, Afrovibes Festival, and Sofar Sounds.
A graduate of Seneca College’s Independent Music Production program, her album Detox explores love, loss, resilience, and diasporic identity, solidifying her place as one of Canada’s most compelling emerging global music voices.
