I grew up in Pembroke, Ontario and am currently residing in Onaga, KS where my husband grew up. I have been a touring and recording artist full-time since 2000. I tour in 2 duos: April Verch & Cody Walters (my husband) and Newberry & Verch. I play fiddle, sing, Ottawa Valley step dance and compose. I am also the Director of the Acadia Festival of Traditional Music & Dance (Bar Harbor, ME for a week each June), I work for Canis Major Music (booking agency) part time, and teach zoom fiddle lessons.
