Scarlett Flynn is a Canadian songwriter, artist development consultant, and creative facilitator whose work bridges storytelling, emotion, and cinematic sound. Originally from Nova Scotia, she signed her first artist development deal at age 20 with Anthem Entertainment (formerly ole Publishing), launching a career that has since spanned international touring, award-winning songwriting, and a growing footprint in music for film, TV, and visual media.

Known for her versatility, Scarlett writes across a wide spectrum of genres—including folk/pop, R&B/pop, electro-pop, and atmospheric singer-songwriter—crafting songs rooted in narrative, emotional depth, and sonic texture. Her music has appeared in film and television, earned placements on CBC and BBC radio, and received recognition in national and international songwriting contests. Some of her early performance career included televised appearances on Much Music, ETalk, Breakfast Television, and Canada AM.

Scarlett toured extensively across Canada and Europe as a member of the Toronto pop/folk band Running Red Lights, sharing stages with artists such as Counting Crows, Great Big Sea, and Stars. In 2020, she released her solo debut, Living is Hell, written and produced during the pandemic lockdown. The project explored isolation and psychological unraveling with a raw, experimental sound that drew comparisons to Beth Gibbons, Fiona Apple, and St. Vincent.

She currently co-leads Wolfville, a FACTOR-supported, meta-musical concept project developed with writer/producer Kevin Howley. Built as a sung-through cinematic album about love, fallout, and repair, Wolfville blends alt-folk, indie pop, and emotional storytelling with a focus on sync-friendly production and visual narrative.

Beyond her artistry, Scarlett is a songwriting facilitator for the UHN/Massey Hall Lullaby Project, helping parents in neonatal and maternity programs write personalized lullabies for their babies. The work centers on creativity as emotional care—offering families connection, expression, and a lasting musical keepsake.

She is also an Artist Development Consultant at Misfit Music Management, specializing in:
-Sync strategy and pitching
-Song structure & creative development
-Metadata, catalogue organization & music business infrastructure
-Grant writing & professional assets for emerging artists
-DIY marketing, content strategy, and building tour-ready releases

Scarlett is passionate about empowering artists to understand the business behind their music while strengthening their creative voice. Whether she’s writing for a film, developing a concept album, or mentoring new talent, her work is grounded in storytelling that feels intimate, visual, and emotionally precise.
