Michelle Allman-Esdaille is a visionary music executive, entrepreneur, and advocate for sustainable careers in the creative industries. As the Founder and CEO of The HOOK & Company, she leads a groundbreaking ecosystem designed to support music artists and professionals through business development, education, and strategic connection. Her innovative Managers-On-Demand marketplace, relaunching in March 2025, bridges the gap between freelance industry experts and music creators—ensuring both community and career can grow in tandem.
Through its branches—The HOOK Sync Group and Sustainable Creative Living—Michelle has made an undeniable mark. She is the founder of Canada’s first Black female-owned sync agency, securing music placements on BET+, OWN Network, Bravo, Warner Bros., TLC, and HGTV. Her commitment to elevating underrepresented voices in sync has opened vital doors for artists from BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and recognized-as-female communities, creating a more inclusive and accessible sync licensing landscape.
With nearly a decade of experience in artist management, sync licensing, and career strategy, Michelle is also the driving force behind Sustainable Creative Living—a professional training platform offering immersive, application-based programs in sync production, export readiness, and music-for-media. The platform’s instructor team is rapidly expanding, with nearly ten trusted facilitators delivering workshops across Canada. Courses like the Sync Music Production Accelerator and The Singing Speaker empower artists to build full-spectrum careers that are financially viable and creatively fulfilling.
Michelle’s work has led her to curate and deliver programming in Alberta, Ontario, and Nova Scotia, serve as a consultant for Music BC’s Jumpstart program for two consecutive years, and appear as a featured speaker for Women In Music Canada, Music Nova Scotia, and SaskMusic. She was recently named one of Canada’s Top 100 Black Women To Watch in 2024, an honour reflecting her lasting influence on the industry and her commitment to reshaping its future.
A Reiki practitioner, consultant, and co-author of You Have So Much Potential – Inspiring Generational Healing & Transformation, Michelle blends strategy with soul in everything she does. Her vision continues to expand—working to scale programs, unlock global sync opportunities, and build a thriving future for music creatives from emerging to established.
