Sarah Atkinson is an accomplished arts and events professional with nearly two decades of experience in the music industry. She served six years on the Board of Music Nova Scotia, holding the position of Treasurer for the government-funded organization that supports the growth, sustainability, and international development of the province’s music sector.

As the co-founder of SoundBox Music, a Halifax-based artist development and management company, Sarah leads all marketing and communications initiatives. She develops strategic campaigns for album releases, tours, and festivals—overseeing digital marketing, content creation, and social media management for artists across the folk, roots, and Celtic genres. Her collaborative approach helps artists expand their audiences and strengthen their presence in both national and international markets.

In addition to her work at SoundBox, Sarah is an educator in the Creative Industries Department at Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC), where she teaches marketing and communications to students pursuing careers in the arts and entertainment sectors. Passionate about mentorship and community engagement, she champions creativity, inclusivity, and professional growth across the music industry—bridging artistry, education, and leadership in every role she undertakes.
