Lari Resendez Lopez is a music manager and founder of 1997 Ent., an entertainment company focused on music management, project management, marketing, and artist development—with a powerful new commitment to mental health in the industry. Before launching 1997 Ent., Lari was the founder of LRL Management, where she worked with artists across genres including Rap, Hip-Hop, Latin, and Country.

After a challenging start to 2024, Lari kept her head up with peace and grace—she pushed through. Her ability to persevere through personal and professional challenges has made her one of the fastest-growing music agents in Toronto, Canada. Over the years, she’s worked across many sides of the industry, from leading music marketing campaigns to managing full-scale project rollouts, always with the goal of helping her clients build sustainable, impactful careers.

1997 Ent. was born not just out of a rebrand, but from a deeply personal place. After facing mental health challenges of her own, Lari made it a mission to create something that supports artists beyond just their work—focusing on their well-being too. The company now has international production teams based in Toronto, Canada • London, United Kingdom • Orlando, United States • Medellín, Colombia • Monterrey, Mexico.

In Fall 2024, Lari proudly represented Toronto, Canada as a delegate for Women in Music Canada in Stockholm, Sweden, where she connected with global leaders to discuss the future of music, culture, and wellness for her label.

1997 Ent. is now actively working on initiatives to raise awareness around mental health and substance abuse in the music industry, with the goal of creating lasting, positive change.

“I know firsthand what it’s like to navigate this industry. For a long time, I couldn’t admit there was something wrong—everything was moving fast and felt like it was headed in the right direction. It wasn’t until I had to take a step back that I realized what was missing. Now, I’m entering a new era—and I’m ready to fight for those who love this industry as much as I do but find themselves in the dark.”
