Caroline got started with songwriting after surviving a violent attack from drug user during a classic "rural crime" event. She fought for her life, children asleep in their beds, and the addict was sentenced to 3 years behind bars. She was in prison mentally speaking though, for well over a year. Stuck in fight or flight mode, she took to strumming the guitar, carving out just a few minutes of peace every day. May 2020 The Road was released, featuring 15 original songs. Caroline kept on writing, and released Pause and Pine in July 2021. Walk with Me in 2022. Pure Imperfection in 2023. Deep Sigh in 2024. Odds and Ends in 2025. All the Moving Parts is slated to be released in the spring of 2026. Her busy life doesn't impact the songwriting, but propels it! She and her husband run a cattle farm and raise their 4 kids (ages 3, 5, 7 and 8) in rural Alberta.
